H.H. Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nehyan (Chairman)

H.H. Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nehyan, Captain and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations of the UAE, graduated from the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in the United Kingdom and completed his advanced training at the U.S. Naval Training Command, California. He then pursued the Command Course at the U.S. Naval War College, Rhode Island.

Mr. Mishal Kanoo (Vice-Chairman)

Mr. Mishal Kanoo is the Chairman of the Kanoo Group, one of the largest independent, family owned, group of companies in the Gulf region. He is also a visiting lecturer at the American University of Sharjah, he is also a columnist in Gulf Business and Arabian Business along with other publications.

Mr. Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo (Member)

Mr. Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo, Deputy Chairman, Kanoo Group, is based in Abu Dhabi, where he oversees the business operations and the interests of the Kanoo family. Apart from his current position, he also holds directorships of several companies in the GCC. He is also the Charity Fund Chairman of Abdul Rahman Kanoo Co. WLL, Bahrain.

Mr. Omar Al Katheeri (Member)

Mr. Omar Al Katheeri is the Chief Corporate Support Services Officer, Technology Development Committee. Prior to his current position, he was Executive Director, General Secretariat and Executive Council. He holds a MBA from University of Oxford, United Kingdom.


Dr. Tariq Abdulqader Bin Hendi (Member)

Dr. Tariq Bin Hendi is the Executive Vice President and Head of Wealth Products & Advisory of the Emirates NBD Group and acting Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of Nasdaq Dubai listed ENBD REIT. He has over 18 years of experience in asset management, private equity and investment banking. He holds a PhD in Labour Economics from Imperial College London (UK) as well as degrees from Columbia University (USA), London Business School (UK), and Clayton State (USA).

Mr. Bader Jeiroudi (Member)

Mr. Bader Jeiroudi is currently the Managing Director of Sultan International Holding LLC. He has co-operated in the management team and managed several other companies including Al-Makamin Commercial Projects LLC and Martrade Sultan Logistics LLC (Germany), to name a few. Additionally, he is on the Board of Directors for a number of other UAE and international companies.

Mr. Franck Heimburger (Member)

Mr. Franck Heimburger is the Chief Personal Lines Officer for AXA Insurance (Gulf). Prior to that he has led AXA's operations in the UAE as Country Manager since 2013 and was responsible for executing and managing sales strategy across multiple distribution channels for commercial and retail insurance products. An expert in insurance, his ample experience comes from his previous roles in AXA’s sales and distribution divisions.

Mrs. Laura Alvarez Gerstein (Member)

Mrs. Laura Alvarez Gerstein is currently responsible for developing the company’s market share in the health insurance sector for personal and corporate clients within the Gulf region. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, she began her career in 1993 as a Senior Actuarial Analyst and was instrumental in a number of strategic transformations.

Mr. Paul Adamson (Member)

In November 2019, Paul Adamson was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of AXA Gulf. In addition to this responsibility, he is also the Managing Director of AXA Cooperative in Saudi Arabia. As a chartered insurer with over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, he has spent the last 20 years working in the Middle East Region. In 2010, Mr. Adamson led the IPO and floatation of AXA on the Saudi Stock Exchange, and since joining AXA in 2005 has held various senior positions throughout the region. 

Management Team

Mr. Mohamed Seghir - Chief Executive Officer of AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company (GCIC)

Mr. Mohamed Seghir began his career as an Actuary at FWU AG in Munich, where he was responsible for Western Europe and the Middle East. He then took up the role of Manager Actuarial Services for Munich Re and then joined Swiss Re in 2013, initially as a Senior Marketing Actuary in charge of pricing of the life & health business in MENA, Turkey and Pakistan.

Mohamed is a regular contributor to seminars, conferences and publications. He holds an MSc in Finance and Actuarial Sciences and a BSc in Finance from the Université Claude Bernard (France), and is a fully qualified actuary from the French (IA) and Swiss (SAV) Institutes of Actuaries.

He leads a team of professionals who significantly contribute and lead relevant departments to ensure the focus is always on the customers.

Our Strategic Partner

The commencement of Green Crescent’s partnership with Kanoo Group and AXA was first announced in September 2014. It came to fruition in December of 2015 after the successful completion of the AED 100 million bond conversion and investment transaction on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, which sealed the partnership and led to the renaming of the company to AXA Green Crescent (legally registered as AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company P.J.S.C).
