Main Covers

AXA has been selected as a DHA (Dubai Health Authority) participating insurer, which means that we are allowed to provide you with an Essential Benefit Plan (EBP), a customized health insurance policy designed to protect your domestic helper in case of illness or injury for only AED 677.25 per year.

As soon as you employ the services of a driver, maid, gardener or nanny, you are legally required to provide them with health insurance. By Law, all domestic staff who hold a valid residence permit issued in Dubai or Jebel Ali need to have health insurance coverage throughout their period of residency. (Law No. 11 of 2013).

This product is designed for workers/domestic helpers (drivers, maids, gardeners or nannies etc.) with a valid Dubai or Jebel Ali visa, who are sponsored by individuals and not by corporate entities, and whose monthly salary is AED 4,000 or less.

AXA EBP cover includes:

  • Direct billing for inpatient and outpatient treatment within
the UAE.
  • Pre-existing and chronic conditions.
  • Maternity and newborn benefits.

Payment Method

Once your application is submitted, one of our agents will get back to you on payment options.

  • With the EBP plan from AXA Insurance, the insured member is entitled to healthcare services within Dubai and other emirates. The AXA Insurance healthcare card (along with an ID) should be kept with the insured member at all times. It will allow the member to access services at AXA approved medical facilities - known as your providers’ network.
  • Please note there are co-insurances (which means that the insured member will have to pay a share of the costs) and sub limits applicable for each benefit.
  • You can visit a medical facility that is not included in your network in case of a critical or life threatening medical emergency. In this case, you will need to pay for this treatment upfront and you will get your claim reimbursed from AXA Insurance. It is important to keep all of your receipts, invoices, medical reports and submit them with the reimbursement claim form. You can submit your claim by visiting your nearest AXA branch or submit it online.
  • If you encounter any issue, we have a dedicated claims team who can help you anytime. Just tell us what happened and we’ll take it from there.
  • Call 800 2926 and one of our customer service representatives will guide you further.
